I have always loved the quiet mystery of discovering a feather.
On a shoreline.
Along a trail.
Caught in tall grass after the wind has moved on.
Or beneath a sky filled with stars.
There is something different about the world after sunset. Familiar paths become mysterious. Shadows lengthen. Sounds fade. The night grows quieter, inviting us to slow down, look a little closer and rediscover our sense of wonder.
This feather is called Night. It is the second release in my Soar series, a collection inspired by places and moments in nature where feathers might be found. Eventually, there will be five feathers in the series.
I am only releasing twelve First Edition Night Feathers.
As a visual teller of stories, I love creating artwork that reveals itself over time. Each Night Feather contains quiet layers of discovery woven into the design—details waiting to be discovered by those who linger a little longer. Some stories are meant to be noticed immediately. Others reward those who take a second look.
Each feather, even those that carry the same name (such as Night) is unique. They are not mass-produced. Instead, each one is handcrafted — so be sure to look through the photographs of each feather before making your selection.
I create each feather from vintage frames, reclaimed wood and new wood, and I combine modern technology with traditional hands-on artisanship. Rather than striving for flawless perfection, I intentionally leave traces of age and character, celebrating the beauty of things that withstand the test of time.
The Night Feather is approximately 27" × 7.25" and features a palette of black, blue, gray, brown, white, cream and gold. I finish each feather by hand buffing a matte finishing wax into the surface. It is intended for indoor display and includes hardware for vertical hanging, along with additional hardware should you prefer to display them horizontally.
